Jaimee Motley Wines

Jaimee Motley was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland within the walls of her family’s restaurant. After moving to San Francisco, it was her time working in restaurants, tasting, and reading about wine, that her passion was officially ignited.

From there, I focused on building my education in every facet of the business by working in both northern and southern hemispheres in the cellar and vineyard. I spent my last pennies traveling to Europe to walk vineyards and speak with people who have a coveted history in the field of viticulture. In 2015, I accepted an assistant winemaker position at Wind Gap/Pax Wine Cellars, where the owners graciously created a space at their winery for small brands, like myself, to blossom. I am fortunate to be surrounded by an incredible winemaking community that is inspiring and supportive. This has all lead me to become the founder and winemaker of Jaimee Motley Wines.

Alchemy, artistry, family.  Reverence of nature.  Acceptance of the unknown.  Honor of the past and an embrace of the future.

A glass of wine, its form within reach on the table, is the result of the coalescence of intricate layers. These layers have drawn many to wine and its production through the years. The variables to the winegrower are limitless, yet working with them each vintage like a river finds its path of least resistance, can manifest a thing of beauty, just as the Colorado River presented us the Grand Canyon.
