Jolie-Laide
Based in a Sebastopol, CA, Jolie-Laide is a tiny, hands on (and feet) operation making distinct and fascinating wines. Founded originally by Scott Schultz, and later joined by partner Jenny Schultz, the winemaking method is simple: grapes are left whole cluster, foot crushed, and aged in neutral oak with a focus on French varieties. The approach is a natural one, a less is more ethos.
Jaimee Motley Wines
Jaimee Motley was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland within the walls of her family’s restaurant. After moving to San Francisco, it was her time working in restaurants, tasting, and reading about wine, that her passion was officially ignited.
Hobo Wine Company
18 years come with some perspective, right or wrong, good or bad. This thing started with two barrels of Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel, no business plan, no real idea how the wine world works, and kind of just a reckless abandon because consequences weren’t something we were aware of. Fast forward to now and we have 1000 barrels or more, no business plan, only a vague idea how the wine world works, and enough responsibility to provide many a sleepless night. We hope we have learned a few things though.
Emme Wines
Rosalind Reynolds farms grapes organically and makes wine without additives, working within a likeminded community of grape-growers and winemakers in Northern California. 2018 marked the first year I set out to create something of my own, albeit with the welcome support of the talented people who surround me.
